Big Horn County Antelope
Big Horn County Antelope is home to some of the best antelope hunting in the State of Wyoming. With over 1,200 acres just east of Greybull, over 75-85% of my ranch is irrigated farmland surrounded by hundreds of thousands of acres of Wyoming BLM lands. The remainder of the ranch is tall grass, which holds pheasants. I like to leave the grass long and move my cows on a daily basis, which has had a noticeable positive impact on my bird numbers over the years.
In addition to pheasant hunting, the ranch also holds a moderate number of both mule deer and whitetail. Our region of Wyoming has seen populations of deer get decimated by CWD. Numbers are slowly growing back; however, this will mean our deer hunts will be very limited this year.
The biggest draw for the ranch is our antelope hunting. Located in Antelope Hunting District 78, this is an extremely tough trophy draw for antelope bucks; however, if you are lucky enough to draw a tag, we have the population for a high chance of success. I'll routinely see herds of over 100 head in my irrigated fields. Due to the high percentage of ground I have that's irrigated, I will be offering a limited number of doe and fawn hunts.
All hunts are unguided and will require a high level of self-sufficiency. This is a working farm and ranch, so I won't be able to guide you or hold your hand.
I'm excited to offer these experiences to respectful sportsmen. I have two big rules: 1) Don't drive in my fields or 2) shoot my pivots. Looking forward to hosting you!
