I have been an avid Upland bird hunter for most of my life. I also enjoy many types of fishing. I have also pursued some big game, Deer, Elk and Antelope, over the years but don't have near the passion that I have for quail and pheasants. I am always looking for new spots to chase critters which is one of the things that appealed to me about LT.

Sam has a beautiful property in the northeast part of the State of KS and he was very helpful in helping us set up our game plan. Great rolling agricultural hill threaded with strips of timber lined gulleys. We were able to roost the birds the night before our hunt and set up pretty close to them. Lots of gobbles as the sun came up. The birds flew down to the ag side of the timber instead of where we were set up on the pasture side and we talked with them for about 30 minutes before they decided to go silent and move off. We moved and set up on the ag side of the timber and again had a lot of gobbling bet we were unable to coax them in to gun range. Sam has 3 separate pieces of ground listed and we saw turkeys on two of the 3. Need to Polish up on my calling skills for the next visit to Sam’s!

Tom and friends were great guests during their hunt. Very prompt in all communication including checking out when they departed. They were very respectful of our property and took care to not disrupt growing crops. We would definitely accept a booking from them in the future!

The turkeys were gobbling and responding to our calls on the first morning and we had two hens in the decoys but we were able to convince the gobblers to come in to our set up. The second morning went similarly. Lots of gobbles and quite a bit of ruckus from the birds after they dropped out of the roost but we just couldn’t close the deal. Beautiful property and Jennifer and Brent were great hosts!
