We are a family owned and operated working cattle ranch in the heart of Montana where the mountains end and the prairie begins. We feel that the rancher is the ultimate land steward, and it is our goal to keep this ecosystem rich and diverse while still producing cattle. From rolling grasslands, 3 greasewood packed creeks, to sagebrush flats we have very diverse ecosystems. You can't go very far without seeing large groups of antelope, hungarian partridge, Sage Grouse, Mule Deer, Prairie Dogs, and many many more species.

Landowner Rules: Please close all gates that were closed before you went through them. Please do not drive off the trails, especially if it is muddy or there is a risk of fire. For prairie dog hunting feel free to drive all over the prairie dog towns as needed.

This was a great hunt, plenty of deer, saw lots of birds too. My hunt was cut short do to a family emergency l, however I was able to tag out. Michael was helpful and got me going in the right direction. Justin.

Michael was extremely friendly, had wonderful communication, he has a beautiful piece of property. Our expectations were not only met but greatly exceeded. We spent all day shooting prairie dogs without a break in the action due to the large towns and available property. Mule deer and antelope were seen throughout the day roaming the property. highly recommend and I will be returning at some point in the future.

Michael was very easy to work with, responsive and very accommodating. I was able to switch my planned mule deer hunt into an elk hunt for my granddaughter when a family emergency arose. I was not able to go on the hunt but received nothing positive comments about Michael and the 44 Ranch. I will be booking a trip out to the 44 Ranch next year for sure. Thank you Michael and I am looking forward to next year.

We had an amazing time at the 44 Range. Michael was very helpful and knowledgeable with his offering hunts. 2 of the 3 in our group Tagged out on Archery Antelope within the first two days. Looking forward to coming back in the near future.
