Hunt Montana Bulls at the 6C!

Our large irrigated ground right off the Clark Fork consistently draw LARGE numbers of elk, with herds in the 300-400 head range seen often. This area is a hotspot if hunters can post up on the field edges. That said, the ranch is big, and there's potential in the higher elevations and open coulee areas for hunters looking for more spot and stalk opportunity.

We are located in HD 217. Drawing a tag can be tough for both residents and nonresidents. It's about a 5% chance of drawing with 0 points. With each preference point you ~2x your chances of drawing.

The 6C Cattle Ranch is a proud Montana farming and ranching operation about an hour east of Missoula! With a blend of working ranch ground, irrigated agriculture, mountain cover, and river frontage, the ranch offers a large-scale Montana hunting experience!

The South part of the ranch is 3,600+ acres comprised of large swathes of hay ground bordered by the Clark Fork, with wide open grassland pasture. Coulees and small timber patches break up the landscape and provide cover. This parcel tends to hold and attract more elk, due in large part to the hayfields by the river. 

Our access to the river also provides easy access to trout fishing opportunities!

Camping is permitted on the property with no hookups, allowing hunters to stay close to where animals are feeding and traveling.
