Landowner Rules: Hunters should follow Leave No Trace ethics. Pack it in, pack it out! Fires must be extinguished COLD. Do not bury live ashes in sand -- ashes must be extinguished completely with water. All fire rings must be left spotlessly clean -- no broken glass, cans, or big ash scars. Clean up your shotgun shells. And do not leave broken arrows behind. Waste must be buried 1000 feet from any water source or dry stream bed. This is pristine wilderness land. Leave it pristine. You are responsible to be fully self-sufficient for camping. We recommend setting up a base camp on the nearby BLM land (we have excellent, established campsites with easy 2 wheel drive access that are fine for smaller RVs or pull-behind trailers with 4 x 4) and hauling in your own water, though there are wells in the area, and springs marked on the map. Do not set up blinds near wells or springs. Be fair. Backpacking is magnificent here, with a spectacular flat campsite on top of the Mesa, at 5,000 feet, with a 360-degree view. We recommend scouting the area first before you establish a blind. We can personally guide you to the property for an additional fee, and we also provide detailed directions, map information, and GPS coordinates. This is a challenge that requires orienteering skills, which adds to the adventure. You will need a horse, jeep, or ATV to access the parcels which can get you in the first 2 miles by road. If you want to hike the entire distance, it is 4 miles, but the last 2 miles require bushwhacking through heavy brush inaptly named Brushy Basin.

Raised by a hunter, our family is caretaking his land sustainably and responsibly for future generations. We grew up as kids in the 1960s, dressing the fish, birds and deer that my Father hunted. He fed his family with wild fish and game. He taught us wilderness skills, and respect for the animals and the land. This land is a remote, hidden treasure, with state park-caliber beauty. The scenery on the drive to the parcel is breathtaking. You will not see another human being, nor their footprints. The land has not been grazed in half a century and is truly pristine. By making it available to hunters to use the land responsibly, and by harvesting game in a sustainable fashion, we are preserving this habitat for the future. The ranch is truly a time capsule -- you will feel as you have gone back in time to a primitive moment in history. Earth remains as it was here -- with an abundance of Southwestern native plants, wildflowers, bees, insects and rattlesnakes, bats, hawk, owl, rabbits and rodents -- and the big game animals who feed on this ecosystem, including bighorn sheep, wild boar, antelope, deer, bear, bobcat, mountain lion, coyote, and predators. Wild horses and wild burro also roam freely here, and there are no fences to restrict their ancestral travels to springs, streams and rivers.
