Nearest Town, Greeley, Colorado
15 acres

Aragon Farms is a family farm and cattle operation in Weld County, Colorado. With just over 15 acres of alfalfa fields, corn fields, and grassland pasture, we have consistent goose activity landing and feeding in the fields, with the occasional group of ducks.

The farm, located close to Greeley, Windsor, and Severance, is a great option for hunters in Northern Colorado looking for a DIY and easily accessible property.

Here on the farm, we have beef cows, chickens, ducks, and our beloved Jersey milk cows. If you are local we invite you to come to the Mercantile on Saturdays to see the farm, meet the animals, and learn more about what we have planned for the farm! Some Saturdays may not be available for hunting.

We implement many regenerative practices when it comes to our beef production, where our cattle rotationally graze a combination of grasses and cover crops.

We believe the land we have the opportunity to work is a gift from God and it is our responsibility to do our part in leaving it better than we found it while getting to enjoy his creation in the process. We look forward to sharing it with you!

Landowner

We are a husband and wife duo living out the life God is calling us to. We have beef cows, chickens, ducks, and our beloved Jersey milk cows. We are passionate about agriculture and sharing how food is raised. Follow us on Instagram to get a behind the scenes look at raising cattle, producing milk and starting a small business. If you are local we invite you to come to the Mercantile on Saturdays to see the farm, meet the animals, and learn more about what we have planned for the farm!

At Aragon Farms, we implement many regenerative practices when it comes to our beef production. The cows are rotational grazing all Spring and Summer, being moved once every day to a new section of pasture. They are grazing a combination of grasses and cover crops which has a benefit to both the animal and the soil.

Once the animals are close to maturity, they are transitioned into a diet which includes hay and corn, allowing for the premium marbling to occur. Throughout their lives, all of our animals are handled in a low-stress manner. We value the products they provide to us and want them to have a sense of peace. At the end of the day, we believe the land we have the opportunity to work is a gift from God and it is our responsibility to do our part in leaving it better than we found it while getting to enjoy his creation in the process.
