Avina Ranch is located in Lake County. We have a great population of Blacktail deer of which, we have captured many game camera photos, of some nice herds that use the property. This multi property is hilly with Kelsey Creek running along southern & southwestern part of it which should have water in it year round and is wooded. 

One-day, DIY access to 323 acres of mixed oak-pine woodland, open meadows, and chaparral benches on our family-owned Avina Ranch.

• No lodging, water, or bathroom facilities. Plan to be 100 % self-sufficient and pack out everything you pack in.

• Hunt hours: ½ hr before sunrise – ½ hr after sunset.

• Legal weapons: center-fire rifles, shotguns using slugs, muzzleloaders, or archery tackle, all with CA-certified non-lead ammo/heads.

• Species: Columbian black-tailed (Zone A) / mule-deer hybrids only, in accordance with the 2025 CDFW Big Game Digest.

• Access & parking: park at the signed gate on Bottle Rock Rd.; foot travel only beyond the gate. Do not drive across the bridge and do not enter the locked Quonset hut (outside package bounds).

• No camping, no open fires.

• You will receive a geo-referenced map (APNs 013-033-29 & 011-012-49) and digital boundary in your confirmation email.

• Hunters must carry a valid CA license + appropriate deer tag, follow all CDFW regulations, and respect cultural stewardship of the land (former Pomo territory).

• Leave gates as you find them, avoid disturbing livestock & neighbors (~40 adjacent parcels), and place gut piles well away from creeks.

Landowner Rules: • Bring all water, food, and sanitation supplies—no facilities on site. • Non-lead ammo required; validate & return tags per CDFW rules. • Wear blaze orange; be sure of target & beyond—40 adjacent parcels. • Stay inside posted boundaries; map provided. • No smoking, no fires, no cutting of vegetation. • Do not enter or store gear in the locked Quonset hut (outside package). • Pack out ALL trash, spent shells & gut piles; leave gates as you found them.
