Beartooth Mountain Foothills
We're a working cattle ranch that has over 2,800 acres of land just outside of Red Lodge, MT. The ranch is a mixture of rolling hills with many drainages and Elbow Creek bottom running through the center of the property. There's plenty of water on the property with Elbow Creek and also we have a few stock ponds throughout. Sage & natural grasses cover the property.
We've got a pretty healthy population of mule deer and we've seen elk move through the back of the property although we don't usually hold elk. We also have Hungarian partridge, sharptail grouse and a few pheasants. On the southewestern edge of the property we have a field lined by trees that always has some whitetail does in it which we'll allow bowhunting for since it's near the house.

Very nice property to hunt. Booking multiple hunt days are recommended to understand the area and movements of the Mule Deer.

Amazing piece of property near Red Lodge, MT with obvious signs that the mule deer we found through hiking were resident deer. We kicked up a huge buck that would not stop for a shot. We only booked for one day so if we go next year I would do two days because of the size of the porperty- I would use day one to find the deer and day two to spot/glass and stalk. Red Lodge has great places to stay and a nice brewery for an after hunt beer and appetizer. Beautiful scenery as well all around. The Beartooth mountains are spectacular. Brad was very helpful as well, great host.
