Eastern Montana mule deer work the draws and broken terrain across this ranch the way big-country bucks do, using the cuts and coulees for thermal cover and predictable travel. Whitetails on this property tend to favor the lower terrain and areas near water, running patterns that differ enough from the resident mule deer to keep both species huntable. The draws and pond edges give them soft cover in otherwise open country.

We are located in HD 700, about 3 hours from Billings and 1 hour and 40 minutes from Miles City.

Our ranch is 9,280 acres of vast hill country in Eastern Montana's Garfield County. The habitat is open rangeland broken by coulees, bluffs, and ranch reservoirs. We are a 4th and 5th generation working livestock and farming operation. Along with our children, we raise beef and dairy cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, and goats. We farm and raise much of the food for our livestock, wheat, corn, peas, and barley. We strive to teach our children to be good stewards of the land and are looking to forward to hosting hunters this season.

Lodging in 7-bedroom, 3-bath ranch house will be available for all bookings, which is fully furnished with dishes, cooking supplies, bedding, toiletries and surrounded by acres of beautiful scenery and wildlife. Plenty of parking space for large vehicles, boats, trailers, and RVs. There is a two car garage and a shooting range available also. Lodging will be exclusive to your group, so you'll have the whole place to yourself. Due to the remote nature of the parcels, on-site lodging is a huge benefit for hunters as you're planning trips.

Over the years, our family has been able to harvest some really nice mule deer and whitetail bucks. Antelope can be found in the flats near the water, while the ranch is also home to huns and sage grouse for upland hunters. The reservoirs will also hold waterfowl on a seasonal basis. 

In addition to our 9,200+ acres, we have neighbors enrolled in Block, along with scattered tracts of BLM and State Ground. We have a good system of ranch roads to get around on each parcel. Please stick to established roads at all times. Please no ATVs, and no parking in tall grasses. No fires.

Jordan sits about 14 miles away and serves as your closest fuel and supply point. Billings is approximately three hours away, and Miles City is about an hour and forty minutes away.
