Buck Board Livestock: The Trees
Our main Buck Board Livestock property consists of just under 650 acres of prime Iowa habitat. With row crop, dense timber, creekbottoms, a couple small ponds, and tall grass, wildlife has everything they need to thrive on our property.
We are pleased to be offering hunts for whitetail, turkey, pheasant, and waterfowl.
We have several stands and blinds available for use during your hunt as well!
All bait is removed and covered per Iowa DNR regulations during season.
If the dates you're looking for are not available, please take a look at our other four listings in the Hardin County area.
Lodging
We have lodging available in our machine shed at our main house off the property. The space can sleep about 8-10 guests, and comes fully equipped with a kitchen and bathroom. Our lodge is within 5 miles of all our properties.
Guests can add this to their booking for $75 per night. This will be available on a first-come-first-served basis, as this is an option on all five of our LandTrust listings.

The amount of wildlife I saw while walking this property was crazy. I saw dozens of deer and turkey as well as pheasants in the prairie grass.

5.0We couldn’t have asked for a better place to come up and hunt. Adam made sure to have everything we could have ask for already taken care of. We were fortunate enough to harvest 2 longbeards on our first two days even despite the bad weather. There were plenty of longbeards along the river and if you put in the time, you will be successful.
Reviewed by Guest on April 2024Adam and his wife are exceptional hosts! Adam is a great landowner to work with that will invest a lot of time and energy into making your hunt as successful as possible. He puts a lot of effort into maintaining the ground by planting food plots, trees, and clearing trails making it a paradise for turkey and deer. I will certainly be back in the future to hangout with Adam and get some more hunts in. This is also a great place to go hunt pheasants as I saw them everywhere while out there!
Reviewed by Guest on April 2024Jacob is awesome. I’ve known Jake for quite a while and always look forward to seeing him He is not the kind of guy that is going to settle for the first bird but will hold out for that absolute perfect scenario and that certainly was the case this time. After a long hard battle with one of the oldest and smartest Tom’s In the forest, they called it a draw. Jake returned back to the farm all smiles and eager to revisit the battle next year. A+

Adam did a get job showing us the property we had great places to hunt. He was very hospitable and the bunk room was very cozy and we had a get place for the dogs to stay also.

My dog and I had a great time. Adam was an excellent host. He was very helpful, showing me around his property and sharing tips with me. I thought the bird population was great, provided us with plenty of opportunities. I wouldn’t hesitate to go back, thanks.
