Buck Rock Farm offers a private archery whitetail retreat on 50 secluded acres in the hilly Appalachian landscape of Bristol, Virginia. This is not a crowded hunt club, public-land experience, or high-pressure outfitter operation. It is a private, limited-access farm retreat designed for responsible archery hunters who value privacy, comfort, preparation, and a well-managed property.
The farm blends approximately 20 acres of rolling pasture with 30 acres of hardwoods, creating a strong mix of field edges, timber, bedding cover, travel corridors, food sources, and transition zones. The land is hilly and mountainous in character, with long-range views across the surrounding valley and fields. Nearly 3 miles of trails wind through the property, providing access to stand locations, field edges, wooded corridors, and observation areas.
Buck Rock Farm is actively managed for whitetail movement and habitat. The property includes planted food plots, strategically monitored travel corridors, identified bedding-area behavior, and catalogued rut activity including rub lines, scrape zones, and recurring movement patterns. Cellular trail cameras are placed throughout the farm to monitor deer and wildlife activity, helping guide stand selection, blind rotation, and hunt timing.
Hunting access is intentionally limited. No more than two hunters may access the property at one time, and each approved hunt receives exclusive access during the reserved period. This allows the farm to rest between hunts, reduces pressure on the deer herd, and creates a higher-quality experience for serious archery hunters.
This is an archery-only offering. Crossbows are allowed. Hunters must follow all Virginia game laws, licensing requirements, tagging requirements, season dates, and Buck Rock Farm safety rules. There is no baiting, no active mineral sites during hunting season, and no harvest guarantee. The value of this experience is private access, managed habitat, current deer intelligence, comfort, and a landowner who knows the property.
Luxury lodging is available on-site at the Buck Rock Farm cedar log cabin. The cabin is a newer three-level luxury log home with approximately 1,700 square feet, 3 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, a full kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, laundry, comfortable living space, and a large wraparound porch. It is ideal for one or two hunters traveling with spouses, partners, or non-hunting guests ( four guemats max).
This setup works especially well for two couples or close friends. While the hunters are in the field, non-hunting guests can enjoy the privacy of the cabin, quiet mountain setting, local dining, entertainment, and shopping nearby. Historic State Street in downtown Bristol and The Pinnacle shopping district are both close by, giving non-hunting guests easy access to restaurants, boutiques, entertainment, and retail options while still returning to a private farm retreat.
For hunters who want a more complete experience, Buck Rock Farm can provide stand and blind rotation guidance, property orientation, map review, recent trail-camera intel, and limited recovery and processor coordination by request. These concierge-level services may be available for an additional fee and are designed to make the hunt more organized, convenient, and comfortable.
Archery access starts at $200 per hunter per day. Lodging is priced separately and typically ranges from $425–$575 per night depending on dates, season, and package structure. Premium dates, rut timing, lodging packages, recovery support, and concierge-level coordination may be priced separately.
Buck Rock Farm is best suited for responsible, safety-minded hunters who want a private property archery whitetail experience paired with premium lodging and a quiet Appalachian farm setting.
