RV Friendly

Sportsmen are invited to experience a DIY upland bird hunt on approximately 1,600 acres of private working ranchland in Perkins County, South Dakota. The property consists primarily of native prairie and pasture, with hay ground and seasonal creek-bottom habitat.

The landscape is wide-open prairie, so hunters should expect limited traditional cover and be prepared to put on some miles. The property offers opportunities for pheasant and grouse hunting with plenty of room to explore.

An additional 1,000+ acres enrolled in South Dakota’s public Walk-In Area program borders or is located near the property, giving hunters the opportunity to expand their hunt beyond the private acreage. Public access is non-exclusive and subject to applicable state regulations.

This is an active livestock operation. Ranch activities, livestock needs, and predator control take priority, and available hunting areas may vary depending on current conditions. We will review current property access, livestock locations, and any temporary restrictions with guests upon arrival.

Camping:

Basic tent/dry camping is available for $25 per night, per tent, in a landowner-designated location.

Self-contained RVs, fifth wheels, bumper-pull campers, ice houses, pickup toppers, and truck-bed campers are welcome for $35 per night, per unit, in a landowner-designated location.

**Utility access or hookups are not included in these rates.

Bio

🐑 The property is part of a long-established, family-operated sheep ranch with roots spanning more than a century. Today, the ranch continues to raise registered Rambouillet and Hampshire sheep, combining generations of practical experience with modern genetics and breeding practices.

This is an active working ranch—not simply recreational property. Livestock and day-to-day ranch operations are an important part of the landscape, and we enjoy giving respectful sportsmen an opportunity to experience and hunt this unique piece of western South Dakota.
