Lodging for Choteau's Wild Wings Festival at Cleiv Coulee Camp

It's that time of year again! Time for the 2023 Choteau Wild Wings Festival and the annual spring migration of snow geese and tundra and trumpeter swans. Both veteran and novice birders and outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the hundreds of thousands of snow geese and tens of thousands of trumpeter and tundra swans as they visit Freezout Lake Wildlife Management Area.

Cabin Details:

There is only one bed, but space for cots or kids to roll out sleeping bags on the floor. A small kitchen and outdoor gas grill provide ample room to prepare meals. A shower, toilet and bathroom sink provide for all your personal needs. Come visit and forget about everything else.  

The cabin is located less than 7 miles from Freezout Lake, just over 15 miles from Choteau, and about 8 miles from Fairfield. While just a few minutes from Freezeout Lake, the location is in the middle of the grain fields that the birds glean when they are not resting on the lakes. You can be right in the middle of thousands of birds as they assend. It is an incredible experience to see and hear this phenomenon.  

The price for your stay will be a flat $125 per day (night) for as many as 5 guests. Our booking process through LandTrust requires that you book for one guest on behalf of your group for the $125 per day (night). Upon booking we just ask that you provide us with the number of guests that will be joining you for your stay.
