Upland birds concentrate around field edges, cover crops, and along the creeks where food and shelter meet. Late season hunts see pheasants grouping up near food sources and thicker protection. Walking the transition zones between agriculture and natural cover provides consistent opportunities, with dogs working especially well in these mixed habitats.
Availability:
Upland hunting will only be available after Montana's big game season, so basically December through the end of the year.

Our wheat fields, hay ground, and rotating cover crops create consistent food sources, while three creeks cut through the property, shaping travel corridors and holding water year-round.
