Grubb Ranch
Grubb Ranch is an 845-acre property in the northeastern corner of Wyoming. The ranch is used both for running cattle and hay. The mixture of thick timber and open rolling pasture make the land a welcoming habitat for mule deer, whitetail deer, and turkeys. Coyotes and prairie dogs can also be found on the ranch. Multiple ponds and springs also provide convenient water sources for wildlife.
Important Note on Access to the Ranch:
While only 10 miles from Sundance and interstate access to I-90, the ranch is VERY remote and can be tough to get to. It's imperative that you have 4-wheel drive to access the ranch, or at the very least All-Wheel Drive.
Drive-in access to the ranch will be heavily dependent on whether we have snow or rain. The ranch road will be pretty much impassable and treacherous if wet/muddy.
The road is about 3 miles from US-Highway 14 to the ranch boundary. If the road is impassable due to weather, guests are welcome to hike in and stay overnight on the ranch in a tent or under one of the barn structures. We are open to working with you to reschedule your trip if necessary.
If you're interested in hunting prairie dogs and coyotes on our other LandTrust listings in the Newcastle/Sundance area, then follow these links:
There is no lodging or camping access on the ranch. For hotels, food, gas, and more, Sundance is located 12.6 miles away. The city of Gillette is also 70 miles away.
