Hackberry Creek Farm
Hackberry Creek Farm is mostly short grass pasture and cropland in Logan County, Kansas. Our cover crops can be quite pretty when flowering certain times of year. Our property is pretty secluded, and we have a small prairie dog town and fishing hole. We have plenty of coyotes and a small group of deer and antelope on the property.
The farm will be offering packages for deer and antelope, which should make for some good spot and stalk hunting. We will also be offering coyote and dove hunts.
Due to the drought, our pheasant population is not what’s been in years past. We would prefer to wait until Fall 2023 to offer upland hunting, so please check back with us next year.
We don't have structured lodging available at this time; however, we recommend you check out our neighbor's AirBnb for lodging during your visit: Prairie Pines Lodge. The AirBnb is located just 4 miles from our farm.
We look forward to having you out!

I got to the farm at 10am and saw 5 deer while I was there. One very big Mule deer buck and one on the 150” range. John has both Whitetail and Muley’s on this property and we found some impressive sheds out there. Dove hunting should also be good as there are several springs on the property. He does have quail and pheasants but due to the recent drought John would like to give the populations a year to recover.
