Local wildlife find refuge on our ranch, which offers top feed, cover, and water.
Mature bull elk and mule deer bucks are seen most of the year on the ranch. Antelope herds and turkey flocks are common as well.
Topography is ideal for bow and rifle hunting with excellent glassing locations throughout the ranch.
Multiple springs are active throughout the year, providing water sources and ideal blinds to wait for big game.
A road network allows full access to the fenced and gated property. No public hunting is offered.
Our remote location allows your recreation experience to be whatever you choose.

I had another successful hunt on the property while returning home from Glacier. I got to meet Ms Velma this time who was very welcoming and made me feel at home. I hope to make it back someday the property is beautiful. I saw several Prong Horn on this 2nd visit.

We have an abundance of the varmits and he lowered our numbers by four, so we're happy about that! He was respectful of our time and property both times he came by. We especially appreciated that he communicated his arrival and departure times and summarized what he saw during his hunt. Next time around, we hope he can visit again!

I had a successful two day coyote hunt. Good communication with owner and Jacob the rach ambassador was very helpful and is very friendly. The property is beautiful and full of wildlife. I hope to be back soon

This is an amazing ranch with beautiful views and lots of wildlife. We had an awesome time hunting and was able to successfully harvest a couple of turkeys. The landowners are extremely nice and welcoming. We hope to plan another trip here in the future

We were pleased to accommodate such friendly and respectful hunters. They camped on-site and left no trace when they moved on with two turkeys. We appreciated that they stopped by at the conclusion of their trip. They'd be welcome them back for another Happy Trails adventure!

Rebecca was a great host. The land was beautiful. Unfortunately, the rain made for a difficult trip, but that's the way it goes. I did see some turkeys in the limited time it wasn't raining so maybe I will be back! Thanks again for sharing your land! Paul

We had communicated before the trip about the location and conditions, but his turkey hunt was dampened by nearly nonstop rain. We appreciated that his campsite was cleaned up well and he was respectful of our property. We would invite him back!

My brother and I had an awesome experience at Happy Trails! Velma and Rebecca were super friendly, and easy to talk to about the ranch. With dry roads, we were able to access the entire ranch. We saw turkeys and deer throughout the ranch, and elk sign was everywhere! Will definitely be booking another trip next year! Thanks for sharing your ranch! Seth

Had a fantastic trip out to the Happy Trails Hunting Ranch. Visiting with Velma and Jake was enjoyable and Jake is very knowledgeable about the property and showed me around the place. This property is abundant with game and everywhere I looked I could spot a deer or two. Ended up taking a decent buck and had a great time.

This was my first Land Trust experience and it exceeded my expectations by far. Communication was excellent and the hosts were extremely friendly. I enjoyed visiting with and spending time with Velma and Jake, the ranch ambassador. My girlfriend and I felt like we were apart of their family. Jake was helpful explaining the roads and property which helped me decide on my hunting plan and I was able to harvest my first mule deer buck. A dandy buck indeed that will be going on the wall. Thanks again to Velma, Rebecca, and Jake.

He toured the property the afternoon before the hunt which was a good time for a meet and greet! An early winter storm left our hunting grounds wet and muddy, but Cliff didn't mind walking in and carrying his buck out. He stopped by for a nice visit to show his harvest and report on other wildlife he spotted during his hunt. Cliff was exactly what a guest should be!

This was our first trip with Landtrust and we couldn't have ask for a more perfect trip! Happy Trails Hunting Ranch was exactly what my dad and I were looking for. A great piece of land with plenty of room to roam and fairly easy terrain to walk around on. We saw plenty of deer everyday we were there. Also turkeys and a few bull elk as well. My dad and I were both able to tag out on respectable mule deer bucks. Rebecca and Velma were wonderful host always intrested in our days adventure when we stopped in to check out at the end of the day and to share a few stories about the property as well. If I could give this place more then 5 stars I would and if you are looking for a great place to hunt this is your spot!

Not only did they pick up trash they found, they also brought us 3 antler sheds, one which was trophy size! They gave us a full report each night of game they saw and their plans for the following day. We enjoyed having Patrick and John and would invite them to our ranch on their next trip!

My son and I had a good trip to Happy Trails Hunting Ranch. Rebecca was great in regards to booking questions and response times to question. Velma and Jake were great host. We enjoyed our time meeting and talking with them very much. They have a beautiful property in Montana and hope to visit again someday. We didn’t see a lot of Mule deer but we did find one buck and a good one at that. Outside of that buck we seen about 10 mule deer doe and 1 antelope buck. They have been doing a lot of logging after a wildfire from 2 years ago. That made for some great trails to access the property. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions.
