The Hepper Ranch is your ticket to the Williston Basin. With incredible vistas and wide open spaces, our sprawling property is the perfect destination for your next RV adventure in Western North Dakota. The ranch is situated in quite the location with about 2,750 acres just southwest of where the Missouri River feeds into Lake Sakakawea. We are based in McKenzie County east of the town of Keene.

McKenzie County is home to half a million acres of the Little Missouri National Grassland. The ranch is located just north of a 7,500-acre chunk of National Grassland ground. 

Our property is home to abundant wildlife due in large part to our habitat. Open prairie, steep bluffs, lush coulees, and small ponds, all attract deer, pheasant, grouse, and plenty of waterfowl. 

Hunting

Our property is currently enrolled with the State of North Dakota's Private Land Open To Sportsmen program, or PLOTS, which provides free public walk-in access for the purpose of hunting within legal hunting seasons. While we will not be offering species-specific hunting packages, we will have RV packages available during hunting season for hunting groups looking for a place to stay right on the ranch. This package will only be available for hunters making use of our land through the PLOTS program. 

Summer Months

Non-hunting groups are encouraged to book our discounted RV package during non-hunting dates. RVers will enjoy numerous ways to experience the ranch and its surrounding areas: horseback trail rides (bring your own horse), wildlife viewing, birdwatching, and historic artifact explorations. For safety, this package will not be available during hunting seasons.
