Cottonwood trees line the creek bottoms surrounding our farm. We farm and ranch with our son and have 1400 acres of owned pastureland with a natural spring, stock dams and creeks. We have another 1600 acres of cropland adjacent to the pasture providing plenty of hunting opportunities. All our land is posted to the general public allowing exclusive hunting for you and your party. Pheasant, white tail deer and coyotes are hunting options but you may see a couple geese, ducks or turkeys. This is a new venture for us and we will only offer a couple of hunts per year to better manage our wildlife population and get a feel for the agritourism business. Living right outside the city limits, all our land is accessible by good roads. Our land has gentle rolling hills with some clay buttes.

While you are here you might want to take advantage of the Glen Ullin Archery Range with 5 life-size targets and tree stand or the MX race track all free of charge.

Vicki and Craig were very good hosts who went well beyond what you might expect including such things as best places on their property to hunt Pheasants and fresh rolls or cookies each day. The house is very spacious, clean and well stocked with cooking utensils. The house was way nicer than you would expect for a hunting place and better than we deserved. The pheasants were plentiful and we had a great hunt and time. They did inform us there was very little waterfowl in their area which was extremely accurate. Thanks Vicki and Craig

Steve was very polite, he let me know when he was arriving and when he was leaving. He knew how to read maps and researched our property before arriving. Steve and his two sons brought their four well behaved dogs along for hunting. They stayed in the garage, didn't bark and didn't leave a mess for me to clean up. Would love to have these three hunters back again.

The Horst Farm is a gorgeous property! Vicki and her husband Craig are very warm and kind hosts. Their guest house was clean and comfortable enough for several guest to enjoy and Vicki even cooked me a delicious lunch. The Horst's manage a generational cattle/crop operation on over 3,800 acres of beautiful rolling hills, buttes, ravines, and tree cover. During my stay I saw over 15 Mule deer in 1 day, pheasants, grouse, ducks and some coyote sign too. There was signs of wildlife all over! I thoroughly enjoyed my visit and I will surely be back!

If you were to check the dictionary for the definition of the perfect guest hunter you would find a picture of Austin! He is conscientious, courteous, and his communications are topnotch. He was fun to visit with and get to know. We would love to have Austin back again to hunt. He definitely enjoys the outdoors and braved some really cold weather and nasty winds to see what wildlife he could capture by digital photography. Keep up the great work Austin!

We are busy with our farm and love to host friends and family, we hope you will soon be a friend too. Since we really don't enjoy hunting we would like to share our farm with you so you can enjoy the hunt. I love to take pictures of all the cool things in our world, but mostly beautiful sunsets and other stormy sky pictures.
