Pheasants use grassy cover near water sources and low-lying terrain. Best hunted with dogs pushing edges and small draws.

Sharpies can be found higher on the rolling ground in native grasses. Look for birds early or late in the day around mixed cover transitions.

Huns frequently flush in coveys from drier hillsides or near lightly grazed areas—expect fast, low-flying shots in open terrain.

Five stock ponds and a spring-fed creek that winds for two miles through the property serve as the main water sources and key hotspots for doves especially. The combination of open terrain and lightly rolling contours offers long sightlines and room to walk, making it a solid choice for hunters looking to cover ground and work dogs in classic prairie fashion.
