Mule deer tend to favor the more open grassland and rolling terrain away from the heavier creek cover. They often move between bedding areas and feeding zones with good visibility, making spot-and-stalk or glassing strategies effective. Transition areas between grass and crop ground are key locations to watch.

We have a total of 1250 acres of farm and grassland. With half a mile of both the Sappa and Prairie Dog Creeks. Both creeks have live running water.

NOTE: Both of our creekbottom parcels are about 30 minutes from each other. Proximity is close enough to be reasonable, but far enough away to have better luck if one parcel isn't producing that day.

Our farmhouse boasts 3 bedrooms, each furnished with a queen bed for a restful night. There are living rooms on the main floor and basement with pull-out queen sleeper sofas. Each living room has furniture for your whole group to spread out and have their own space. The walk-out basement has views of the creek and access to outdoor activities. There is a bathroom on each level. For those not wanting to fully unplug, there is 1GB fiber internet with WIFI for a working getaway!

Prairie Dog Creek is located at the rear of the home. This property has amazing outdoor experiences. There is a view of the Creek and wildlife from the rear deck. Hike down to the creek for closer look at the water and wildlife.
