Our regenerative farming practices and strategic habitat creation such as hedgerows have created a platform that attracts most species of songbirds that call the Gulf Coast home year-round or seasonally. Species you may see include bobwhite quail, warblers, purple martins, wrens, grackles, shrikes, red wing blackbirds, indigo buntings, orioles, cardinals, piliated woodpeckers, hawks, kites, and other seasonal birds!
Walking down Sam Mizell Road towards the culdesac will present a great opportunity to see many beautiful birds.
Feel free to contact Grant Estrade (a birder himself) about what he sees at the farm.
RV and tent camping access is available to add on. For lodging, food, and gas, Bogalusa is 11 miles North. We hope to offer an RV trailer in the future.

Grant and Kate Estrade own and operate Local Cooling Farms a 60 acre multispecies livestock farm located in Bogalusa, LA. We believe in regenerative agriculture and improving the bio diversity of the farm all while being in the business of production agriculture. We also own and operate Laughing Buddha Market a local foods grocery store/farmer's market in New Orleans, LA
