The terrain does pose a physically challenging hunt. The use of optics are also encouraged.
Limit one harvest per hunter. Additional species can be added for additional fee. If you have multiple tags for multiple species, this needs to be reserved prior to the start of your hunt.
The ranch is located in Unit 703 for antelope.
2-Day Hunt/2-Night Stay Minimum required for guests using Jord's House. Please reach out to LandTrust if interested in adding an additional night stay, whether the night before your hunt or final night of your hunt to your booking.
Important Info about Lodging and Property:
- Check out before 11 a.m.
- The nearest interstate is 45 miles
- Campfires allowed only with permission
- ATVs allowed
- Beds are 1 king, 1 full, 4 singles, 1 couch
Scout Days:
Scout days are available for any hunter who wants to take a look at the property prior to their hunt.
Price is $75 per person and availability is dependent on whether we have hunters out or other ranch activities or tourism rides going on.
Retrieval Access:
If more time is needed for deer retrieval on the day following your booking's end date, there will be a $200 package available for half-day access ending at noon on that day. Only available if no other hunting parties are already scheduled on the premises.
If any of the party need help from Mahlstedt Ranch in retrieving animals, humans, or vehicles, there will be a base fee of $200/hr for help from 1 person and 1 vehicle from Mahlstedt Ranch. Please inquire if interested in this add-on and Tana will send a special offer.

House Description
Jord's house is the perfect base camp for your hunt! Ample room for your gear, living room to stretch your legs at end of the day, and a large porch to hang out with your friends after a successful hunt! There are several buildings on site that can be used for game processing with prior coordination. The view is spectacular and there are no other humans for miles around. This is a secluded location reserved just for you.

Natural Forage and Agriculture
It is the ideal home for wildlife as shown by the varieties of species! Wildlife graze in fields of crop that are on our lower lands throughout the year so they are kept in good condition. They also benefit from the salt, mineral, and lick tubs that we put out for our cattle year round.

Natural springs along with stock water tanks at key points ensure the wildlife and cattle are spread over the land in a wise-use scenario.
Mountains, Hills, Woods, Draws, Grasslands, Brush, and Shelter Belt
Our ranch was actually homesteaded in this area because of the natural protection available to animals.
