Guests are invited to the McClure Ranch to help us manage our population of coyotes and other predators.
The ranch is best suited for long range rifle hunters, due to our wide open spaces!
The McClure Ranch is a Montana family ranching operation located south of the Missouri River and CMR National Wildlife Refuge.
We are seeing some excellent antelope bucks on the property, in addition to loads of ducks in our ranch ponds and dams. The ranch would also be a great destination for Montana's cow elk shoulder season!
Our property also borders thousands of acres of publicly accessible land BLM with nearby Type-1 BMAs.
This is a working ranch. From the end of September and through the month of October, we gather cattle behind the house, along with other neighbors that have grazing rights in certain areas. We just do not want to surprise people when we gather into the pastures on both sides of the highway. We are respectful of hunters and aside from shipping day, do not come in until after 10AM. Please inquire with any questions or concerns.
We will be offering a dry camp RV option for hunters. We are in the process of putting in gravel (should be done before 2024 season). Prior to getting gravel in, if it rains guests will either have to leave the RV, or stay a little longer 🤠.
The ranch is located about 55 minutes from Lewistown and 40 minutes north of Grass Range.
LODGING
Lodging is available in Montana Breaks Bunkhouse, a 4-bedroom, fully-furnished house. You can find the bunkhouse on VRBO.
