About the Ranch:

The Montana Cow Company was homesteaded just outside of Bozeman, MT back in 1860. Five generations later, my dad and I are operating the family business, which has primarily been used for cattle over the years. The ranch sits along the Bridger Mountain Range and consists of a lower and upper field.

The lower field comprises 120 acres, primarily used for fishing, although elk and whitetail do make their way down from the mountains in the late season. Bridger Creek runs right through the lower field and is fed by two smaller creeks. With thick cottonwood trees surrounding the water, this canyon provides exceptional habitat for wildlife. Meanwhile, Bridger Creek is an excellent trout fishing stream.

Archery is allowed on the lower field.

If I’m around, I am happy to answer questions and point sportsmen in the right direction based on what I’ve recently seen around the ranch. 

Sportsmen are welcome to camp in the field, although we are only about a 10-minute drive from Bozeman. Due to extreme fire safety hazards, we do not allow campfires anywhere on the premise of the ranch. However, a jet boil or propane grill is allowed.
