Mountain View Farm
Turkey Hunting less than an hour from Atlanta!
Proudly located in the rolling highlands of northwest Georgia, Mountain View Farm offers 320+ acres of dense Georgia woodland about 50 minutes from Atlanta's city limits and about 20 minutes off interstate access to I-20. Established in 1855 the farm has some rich history with Civil War graves and remnants of old moonshine stills.
The farm offers an off-grid hunting cabin, where guests can stay overnight on site. Cabin is BYO water and solar/electricity. The cabin is situated on a ridge, but is easily accessible by vehicle. Golf cart/ATV friendly terrain.
The terrain is a mixture of mature hardwood stands and selectively thinned pine timber. We've done some thinning projects in partnership with Quail Forever, who also helped us create a wildlife management blueprint. This summer we also will be conducting some controlled burns to further enhance habitat quality and wildlife diversity.
A large spring-fed creek system weaves through the property, supported by multiple feeder streams that eventually flow into the Tallapoosa River nearby. The farm also features a network of trails and firebreaks, totaling roughly five miles, and offers excellent truck, ATV, and walk-in access.
Hunters will find ideal conditions for wild turkeys, with terrain features like ridges, creek bottoms, and food-rich forest edges.
Public conservation land borders the western edge, creating a natural corridor for game and reducing outside pressure.
