Hunt Southeast Arkansas Turkeys on our 40 acres!

We are located in Zone 2 here in Desha County.

Spring turkeys use the uncut hardwoods for roosting and move between the timber and the open ground bordering the property. The big oaks and timber structure make for a classic delta turkey setup.

Bring your waders as conditions can get pretty wet and muddy in areas.

Roughly 18 to 20 acres of the property is hardwood timber that has never been cut. The oak trees are massive, some large enough it would take four men to wrap their arms around. If you could take a snapshot of what the Mississippi Delta looked like before modern agriculture took over, this is about as close as you will find. There is a small pond on the property, rolling terrain, and a couple of low spots in the open areas and near the timber that flood under the right weather conditions. 

Located just over 5 miles south of Dermott, our 40 acres offers exclusive access to prime habitat in the heart of the Mississippi Alluvial Delta. We are about half a mile from Lake Wallace and less than a mile as the crow flies from the Cut Off Creek WMA, one of the most historically productive public duck hunting areas in the state of Arkansas, once recognized as the best duck hunting WMA in the state. 

Guests are asked to take pride in the access roads and avoid rutting them. Gates should be locked and unlocked on the way in and out. Please be courteous and respectful to the neighboring landowners and the farmer working the surrounding ground.
