Nearest Town, Saltillo, Tennessee
70 acres

Welcome to Point Pleasant Nature Preserve!

Our 70-acre property is adjacent to crop fields and is itself almost entirely rolling hills of timbered forest. A spring-fed creek, Mile Branch, also meanders through the length of the property. With food sources, water, and plenty of cover there are sure to be opportunities to see whitetails and Eastern turkeys.

This part of Tennessee here in Decatur County is beautiful, especially with the Tennessee River less than a mile away.

In addition to turkey hunts, we are also offering whitetail buck hunts only. No does. We ask that sportsmen due their best to harvest mature bucks.

We do have a small campsite for tents and RVs available. Local lodging can also be found in Clifton (18 miles), Savannah (20 miles), and Lexington (28 miles).

I am Tl’eeyegge Hʉt’aane (Koyukon Athabascan), Deg Xinag, and Aniyvwiya (Cherokee). It is important to me to live in balance with these lands, remember the peoples who were driven from their homelands, and respect and honor the Indigenous peoples who came before me. I have a profound respect for the animals currently inhabiting these lands. When we enter the animal's territory, we respect and acknowledge that these lands as their home, and we are guests in their homelands. When we harvest, we ask for their permission, and upon their blessing we harvest with respect for food and tools. We use every part of the animal, nothing goes to waste. If you choose to book at Point Pleasant Nature Preserve, please respect and honor the land and the animals in this way.
