Hunt Sheridan County Rios in Kansas Turkey Unit 1.
Birds roost in our timber along creeks and the river, then move into open fields and pastures to feed. The mix of cover and open space offers solid setups for both calling and decoys hunting in the spring.
Ranch is all contiguous ground. We have a mile riverbottom on Solomon River, with other small creekbottoms and livestock tanks. We have about 350 acres of CRP and 500-600 acres of farm ground that provide food. Our Triticale fields are grazed in the Spring, but the stubble is year round source of food.
We don't have any on-site lodging or camping availability; however, there are some decent Airbnbs in Morland (~8 miles away) and Penokee (~13 miles away).
Fishing is also available in ranch ponds, offering bluegill and sunfish for guests looking to round out their trip.
ATV use, camping access, and predator hunting available upon special request.
