Karst Land – Big Sky
Just about 15 minutes before Big Sky along Highway 191, our ranch offers 115 rugged acres steeped in Montana history and bordered entirely by Gallatin National Forest Lands. This parcel offers excellent hunting potential thanks to a large, natural meadow that draws big game from the surrounding timber and deep draws. With no internal roads and dense forest surrounding our open ground, elk and deer move in and out with minimal pressure, creating a true backcountry feel without leaving the truck far behind. The terrain is very huntable, offering elevation breaks, vantage points, and concealed approaches for both rifle and archery hunters.
Elk use the timbered hillsides for bedding and move through the draws to feed in the meadow during low-light hours. The property’s natural topography creates pinch points and travel corridors ideal for setting up along game trails or catching bulls transitioning between our private ground and the National Forest.
Deer are frequently observed working the meadow edges and thicker cover just beyond, particularly during early mornings and evenings. The combination of forage and nearby bedding areas makes for excellent conditions throughout archery and general season.
Guests should plan to meet me on-site the first day of your hunt for key exchange and access instructions, as the property is securely gated and fully fenced.
