Sterling Creek Ranch
Jacksonville, Oregon, United States
89 Acres
Nestled in the heart of Southern Oregon's Jackson County, Sterling Creek Ranch is an 89-acre property, home to a mixture of wooded and mountainous terrain (35+ acres) and grazing land (44 acres). The property represents Oregon's Wildlife Management Unit 28 (Applegate) and has potential for deer, black bear, and Rio Grande turkeys. The hilly woodlands are a good source of cover for the wildlife, while the flat grassland pasture is just one of many food sources in the area during the morning and evenings. Our family has had good success over the years hunting deer during the archery and black powder seasons
We've found that the property's elevation changes and mix of forest and open ground create natural game corridors, particularly during the rut, which is always fun!
In addition to hunting and other rec opportunities, like hiking, photography, biking, and more, we have a 40,000-square-foot covered arena and stall complex, where folks can ride and board their horses.
For hunters (and their families) looking to stay multiple nights on the ranch, we have a 2-bed, 1-bath apartment, with rec room (room for additional guests), and kitchenette situated at the top of the property. Minimum stay in any arrangement 3 nights for 350.00 plus cleaning fee at $50, a total of $400, for family of 4. Weekly, monthly, and longer stays are available upon request, please inquire for more info. If folks are looking for a cheaper lodging option, we can do a 3-night deal of $1,000 for lodging in just the 2-bed, 1-bath apartment (no access to rec room and add'l 600 sq ft).
With its versatile setup, the property also easily accommodates everything from tent camping under the stars to RV sites with hookups, making it an ideal venue for family reunions, weddings, or vacation rentals regardless of where you choose to stay overnight on the ranch.

Bio
Arlan here, I’m 70, have 3 sons, 3 grandsons and 1 great grandson. We love the outdoors and have lived on this acreage since 1999. We’ve taken countless deer and turkey with our bows, black- powder rifles and collections of rifles. We occasionally shoot predators (coyotes and big cats) as we still have a small herd of cattle. Black bear get our needed attention from time to time also.
I try to be available to meet our hunting guests in order to explain where to see game most often for successful results and which directions high powered rifles can be safely aimed to prevent mortal accidents.
