Eastern Turkey Hunt. Minimum/maximum of two (2) hunters must book this hunt per day. Spring season starts April 3rd to May 3rd 2026. Follow SCDNR regulations of daily and seasonal limits for resident/non-resident hunters. Contact landowner for variations to this package (multiple days, during week (tues-thurs), etc). Some food plots are being planted with chufa for the spring season (2026). Several low areas providing supurb roosting sites up in tall pines or hardwoods (sweet gum, black walnut, oaks). Turkeys stroll through owners backyard to show off pullets, strut, and eat bugs out of our garden. SCDNR sells Non-Resident hunting licenses in 3-day, 10-day, and annual increments. Res and Non-Res allowed 2 birds by SCDNR Regulations, must be mature Tom w/ 6-inch minimum beard. No hens or jakes.  

Turkey hunters should be prepared to come fully self sufficent (cammo, calls, weapon, ammo, etc). Landowner is only providing property to hunt and does not guarentee birds will be present on the day hunter books. Birds are completely range free, this is not a high fence hunt, nor do we have captive birds to be released. All birds come and go as they please. Landowner will provide any and all information at the time of the hunt as to birds harvested, seen or knowledge of where birds have been seen, but can not and does not guarentee success of hunter.

Whispering Pines is a 150-ac all-inclusive tract of loblolly pine and hardwoods located in Chappells in Newberry County SC. There is a full-time creek and dry creek on the property. Topography is rolling, with three high points. Six (6) miles of firebreaks allow ample access to all aspects of the property. Tall 80 - 100 ft mature pines and hardwoods provide ample roosting. Food plots and natural forage provide ample subsistance the birds could want to include acorn, American beauty berry, black and raspberrys, persimmon, and muscadines. Food plots consist of sorghum, soybean, chufa, cowpeas, and wild southern mix from NWTF.
