Covering nearly 10,000 acres of rolling hills and wide-open prairie in Weston County, X Ring Ranch sits just outside the town of Upton, Wyoming, and offers big counrty to roam, ride, and reconnect with the land. 

Our ponds may have fish if someone wanted to come out and drop a line in. Not sure what species you'd find though!

With a landscape defined by deep draws, rugged creek beds, and sweeping vistas, this property delivers an authentic western experience perfect for horseback riding (bring your own), hiking, gravel biking, and nature-based recreation. 

Seasonal creeks like Iron Creek, Soda Creek, and Beaver Creek, carve their way through the property alongside scattered reservoirs and stock tanks, supporting native wildlife and diverse plant life across the terrain.

The ranch’s elevation changes and open sightlines make it a dream for photographers, with golden-hour light washing over distant ridges and wildlife often seen grazing along the horizon. Birders can explore the varied habitat of grasslands and brushy creek bottoms, where species shift with the seasons. Gravel bikers and riders can traverse long interior roads and trails that connect scenic overlooks and quiet creekbeds. 

We do have a cabin available for overnight stays, in addition to camping and RV access.

We are open to really any form of recreation on the ranch as long as you're respectful. Please let us know if you'd like to come out for an activity that we may not have listed and we'd be happy to see if we can accommodate your visit!
