Guided Gould's Turkey Experience | Lodging and Meals Includedat Adobe Cattle Company
For those chasing their Grand Slam, Gould’s turkey is a must. This is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to check it off the list.
These birds thrive in the rugged high-desert environment of northern Chihuahua, especially in areas with oak cover and established feeder sites. Spring season runs from April to May. Hunting is the best in early May.
Most guests tag out within the first two days. A second bird can be added for hunters who want to take one with both shotgun and bow.
An important note on safety: We get it, safety is a huge factor in folks making the decision to come out for a hunt. We've had many repeat guests over the years and safety has never been an issue. This area is not a problem. Happy to speak with you if you're feeling uneasy.

We operate on six active ranches with healthy turkey populations, each with feeders in place and plenty of roosting and strutting areas in the oak and juniper terrain.
Hunters can choose to go DIY or hunt with a guide, and most birds are taken with shotguns, though we’ve had several hunters take their second bird with a bow.
We also have a great local taxidermist for those who want to preserve their trophy before heading home:
- Turkey fan mounts: $150
- Full turkey mounts: $850
