International DIY or Guided Gould Turkey Hunts in Northern Chihuahua, Mexico!

Our family’s been hosting hunters in northern Chihuahua, Mexico, for over 12 years, and we’re proud to offer a unique Gould’s turkey hunt that combines ease of access, a self-guided (or guided) style, and solid bird numbers. Most hunters meet us at the Columbus, New Mexico border crossing, and then follow our team for the quick three-hour drive to the ranch. I handle all the paperwork, including gun permits, and make sure everyone is set up for a smooth, hassle-free hunt.

An important note on safety: We get it, safety is a huge factor in folks making the decision to come out for a hunt. We've had many repeat guests over the years and safety has never been an issue. This area is not a problem. Happy to speak with you if you're feeling uneasy.

Important Details - PLEASE READ:

• We meet you at Columbus, New Mexico Crossing OR we can pick you up at El Paso International Airport, if you'd prefer to fly in.
• From there, it's about a 3-hour drive from the border to the ranch
• Most hunters drive their own vehicles from US
• Hunters need passport to cross border - Access is pretty easy for American hunters
• I handle hunt contract, gun permits, and 177-3 border paperwork - just need a copy of all hunter's drivers license
• Hunters can cross border with bows without issues
• DIY Hunts are 3-days/2-nights of lodging - $2,800 per hunter (Plus LandTrust Booking Fee)
• Guided Hunts are 3-days/2-nights of lodging - $3,800 per hunter (Plus LandTrust Booking Fee)
• Typically we meet at the border on Thursday around noon, return Sunday or Monday
• Lodging in ranch houses (basic accommodations)
• Food and cook provided
• We have hunters use Landowner tags from ranch owners
• A second bird can be harvested for additional fee - $1,320
• We've had many repeat guests over the years and safety has never been an issue

We operate on six active ranches with healthy turkey populations, each with feeders in place and plenty of roosting and strutting areas in the oak and juniper terrain. Most guests opt for a 3-day hunt with two nights lodging—arriving Thursday, hunting Friday to Sunday, and returning Sunday evening or Monday morning. Lodging is in modest ranch houses and all meals are home-cooked by a camp cook, included in the hunt package.

Hunters can choose to go DIY or hunt with a guide, and most birds are taken with shotguns, though we’ve had several hunters take their second bird with a bow. A tag is included in the base price, and for those chasing their Grand Slam, Gould’s turkey is a must. This is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to check it off the list. We also have a great local taxidermist for those who want to preserve their trophy before heading home.
