Anderson Little Snake River Ranch offers private ranch land hunting and recreational opportunities in northwestern Colorado. With 2025 hunting season slots available for elk and mule deer, this unique destination provides an immersive experience for those seeking outdoor adventures. The ranch operates as a typical hay and grazing property and spans 575 deeded acres along the Little Snake River, which winds its way through the heart of the ranch. While the land itself is rugged and arid, featuring the characteristic sage and juniper landscape of a high desert ecosystem, it is not mountainous, making it accessible yet challenging.

During 1st-4th Rifle Seasons and Early Archery/Black Powder Seasons we have a Minimum Access Fee of $650/day for 1-2 Hunters. $325/hunter/day thereafter for groups of 3. The cap is 3 hunters on the property at one time. However, for a group hunting more than one species a group of 4 will be considered. 

The ranch is situated in Game Management Unit 3 and borders the premier unit of Game Management Unit 2. Surrounded by several hundred thousand acres of public land, Anderson Little Snake River Ranch offers ample opportunity for exploration and hunting. All hunters are required to have a valid hunting license for the specific species they are pursuing, ensuring compliance with local regulations. 

The property also allows for customization of the experience. Groups can reserve the entire ranch for multiple seasons, with a negotiated price, but the cap on hunters remains to preserve the quality of the hunting. RV spots are available for those who wish to extend their stay, although no electricity is available, RV campers will need to supply their own generator. Water hookups are available along with grey and black water disposal. The water supply is spring water and drinkable, but, due to mineral content, it is recommended that bottled water be used for drinking water. Even without the use of the RV spot, rates remain the same, and hunters are encouraged to plan ahead.

While hunting at Anderson Little Snake River Ranch can vary in quality—ranging from superb one week to less successful another—there are no guarantees. Payment follows land trust rules, and all participants are required to sign a disclaimer acknowledging the risks. In addition to big game hunting, the ranch also offers limited prairie dog hunting for those with a valid small game license, as well as winter coyote hunts.
