Arickaree Breaks North | Colorado
Welcome to the Arickaree Breaks!
Our North listing features 2,225 acres of prairie bluffs and grasslands located in northeastern Colorado's Yuma County. The Arickaree River-bottom runs through the property. We are located within 30 minutes of US Highway 36 and 385 and within 15 minutes of US Highway 34.
Sportsmen can book exclusive access to this remote property for all kinds of species!
Our properties hold thousands of doves and three subspecies of turkeys. Our upland bird populations, especially quail, are strong. Mule deer can be found on the open flats, while whitetails hang out in the timber along the river bottom. Predator hunts, bobcat, coyotes, and mountain lions, are also available. Bison Hunts (guaranteed harvest) are open for $10,000.
Note on Drive-in Access and Parking: This is beautiful country; however, the terrain is full of hidden hazards and is not suitable for driving. Due to fire danger, parking in the tall grass is not permitted.
Location: This place is vast and remote with challenged cell coverage and should be dealt with by sportsmen with the utmost respect. No smoking or campfires! We would also prefer that sportsmen acquire GPS/avalanche beacons to carry while on this property as a sprained ankle in this remote wilderness could lead to very serious consequences. Check-in and check-out daily is requested as your safety is our top priority.
Lodging: We have lodging available in McDonald, Kansas, about an hour from the property in our beautiful historic old Motel built in 1888: Bison Inn
Other lodging options can also be found in Wray, CO (18 miles) or St. Francis (28 miles).

For sportsmen with a Kansas license, we have two Arickaree Breaks listings on the other side of the border, offering late-season upland hunts and spring turkey hunts:
