Our Thomas County listing consists of about 1,600 acres nestled near the intersection of US Highways 83 and 24.

This should be an excellent location for pheasant hunters looking for good populations of birds. Quail numbers are moderate; however, they are more spaced out throughout the property. The farm is also an excellent location for deer hunters looking to hunt Kansas's Unit 1. Dove and pigeon hunters are also invited for a trip out to the farm, especially considering the amount of livestock tanks and brush we have on the farm. 

Our History and Habitat

Baalman Farm & Feedyard is a 6th-generation ag and cattle operation proudly located in Northwestern Kansas, about 10-15 miles north of Interstate 70. We have a large amount of property that's been stewarded by our family since the late 1800s. Our acreage is comprised of a wide variety of habitat, from brushy draws and large plots of cropland to rolling grasslands and shelterbelts.

Lodging won't be available until December 4th, 2023.

For bookings after 12/4/23, lodging is available as an add-on to your package for $200 per night. We have a house with three bedrooms, with ample room for larger groups if folks are willing to bring cots or sleeping pads. Lodging is first come, first served since it's offered on both of our listings north of the Interstate.
