Hunt whitetails at Ballensky Ranch. We have 121 solid acres on the Yellowstone River. We have lots of mature cottonwoods, and several nice bucks down there in the river. We typically have about 10-15 mature bucks in the river at any given moment!
4-wheelers can be used for retrieval. Would recommend bringing a blind to get into the short brush and trees down in the river area. Multiple trails and deer highways!
$2,750 per tag for 5 days of hunting (with camping).
No mule deer hunting. Our population has suffered in years past due mountain lions.
The Yellowstone River bottom provides thick cover, water access, and natural travel corridors that hold bucks. Archery hunters can take advantage of well-used trails and pinch points along the timbered banks, especially during early rut activity. This stretch of riverfront not only offers quality whitetail habitat, but also a quiet, scenic setting for a full-day hunt or extended stay with camping options nearby.
