Our off-grid, mountain property includes 65 acres along the lower reaches of Beckwourth Peak. It's the perfect private basecamp surrounded by the Plumas National Forest. Located just outside the town of Portola in Plumas County, the property rises through open slopes and timbered ground, creating a mix of vantage points and sheltered pockets that hold wildlife and play host to breathtaking mountain views.

A year-round spring and a seasonal creek provide consistent water, supporting healthy forage across the property and drawing our turkey populations through the natural travel corridors formed by the terrain. The combination of open ground and tree cover creates ideal roosting and feeding areas for birds, while the surrounding national forest expands the huntable habitat well beyond the boundary lines.

We are located just 1 hour from Reno, Nevada, and 2.5 hours from Sacramento, California.

Our property has facilities, but it's winterized during the offseason, so hunters will need to stay in Portola (just 7 mins drive from our property). Portola has several motels and many options for groceries, restaurants and a great taphouse that serves local beer and wine.
