Our ranch is ideally positioned for antelope hunting. We have over 1,200 acres of agricultural cropland and rangeland, surrounded by BLM lands comprised of breaks and rolling hills. Antelope will routinely transition from these open spaces in the high ground into my fields to feed. It's not uncommon for me to see over a hundred head on a given day during the Fall.
We are located in Wyoming's antelope district 78, which historically has been a very tough draw for a buck.
The 078-1 license permits the taking of any antelope, from September 20th through October 31st. There is also a special archery season that starts August 15th and ends Sept 19th. In addition, both the 078-6 and 078-7 licenses permit the taking of a doe or fawn on irrigated land. Both tags allow hunting until November 30th. The 078-6 season begins August 15th, and the 078-7 season begins October 30th.
