Big R Farms
Big R Farms is located in Northwestern North Dakota's Ward County. Our family farm consists of just over 640 acres of cropland and steep rolling grasslands. We have thick patches of trees scattered throughout the farm, which hold deer and upland birds. The farm also features tall grass and prairie shrubbery, which act as another hotspot for upland birds.
Our property has quite a few pothole ponds and marshy wetland areas, which attract huge numbers of waterfowl. As part of the central flyway, the farm should produce a great season for waterfowl hunters this Fall.
In terms of access, the farm has a dirt road that goes through the property, which guests can use to easily access our ground on both sides of the road. We border a 640-acre section of public state trust land that sportsmen will be able to take advantage as well. We are located about 45 minutes from Minot and the airport.
Camping on the property is permitted for multi-day trips, while lodging is also available in Kenmare (20 miles) or Minot (35 miles).

Available Packages
During my visit, I saw ducks and geese in every pond on the property. Great population of waterfowl! I also saw a grouse during my visit moving back and forth from the thick section of trees to the tall grasses. Roger tells me that deer will also hang out in these areas.

Roger was great, he was very friendly and helpful. The property was also excellent with rolling hills of pasture, ponds, and crops. I saw Hungarian partridge and a lot of ducks during my visit. I had a great experience and would recommend it to others.

Beautiful amazing property, multiple lakes and game numbers were superb. The amount of ducks and geese in one spot was astounding. Roger is a very kind and genuine host and look forward to going back to see him and his property again.
