Hunt Alabama Easterns in Barbour County!
NO LODGING FOR 2026 SPRING SEASON - WE ARE RENOVATING THE CABIN.
Eastern turkeys roost along creek bottoms and mature timber, then filter into food plots and open pine understory to feed. The mix of managed timber and natural openings allows for effective calling setups and mid-morning repositioning. Travel corridors along creeks and logging roads create strong opportunities during spring season.
Blue Springs Plantation is made up of 870 contiguous acres in Barbour County about 1.5 hours southeast of Montgomery. We are a fourth-generation timber operation with strong wildlife habitat, consisting of southern pine stands, hardwood pockets, creek bottoms, and brush.
Decoys Allowed April 4 - May 8.
Hunters can also make use of our 22 shooting houses set up around the property.
Fishing in the 20-acre pond is complimentary with all hunts, so bring your rods!!
Hunters can also take advantage of interior roads to access stands quietly and hunt varying wind directions across the property.

Bio
My family’s timber operation has stewarded Southern pine forests for nearly a century. Now in its fourth generation of ownership and management, we remain committed to disciplined, long-term land stewardship and responsible forest management. We primarily grow and manage pine across our properties, utilizing sustainable silviculture practices designed to enhance forest health, productivity, and long-term value. Our approach balances timber production with wildlife habitat, soil conservation, and ecosystem preservation. Each generation has focused on protecting and improving the resource base so it can continue to provide economic opportunity, environmental benefit, and family continuity for decades to come.
