Our property is bordered by over 1 1/2 miles of Saline River frontage and bottomland hardwoods. Uplands are a patchwork of hardwood stips, pine savannas, native warm season grass openings, and mixed native grass fields.

There are six managed wildlife food plots scattered throughout the property from the bottoms to the uplands. Abundant wildlife includes whitetail deer, eastern turkey, squirrel, rabbit, opossum, raccoon, skunk, bobcat, and coyote.

Our whitetail packages are set up as a semi-guided sportsman's experience, with lodging provided in Jakes Trading Post cabin, private Saline River fishing access, and Largemouth Bass fishing from our private pond/lake are all included when you book one of our 3-day hunts this Fall! In 2019 this property was the site of a 1200 ft Saline River stream bank restoration and aquatic habitat improvement project and received recognition through the National Fish Habitat Partnership in the 2021 Waters to Watch award. Additionally, Buckhorn Ranch LLC has implemented wild Turkey and Bobwhite quail habitat restoration projects since 1997 and was a 2022 nominee for a National Wildlife and Fish Stewardship award for conservation habitat efforts.
