Our East parcel covers 450 acres here in Powder River County. This acreage is mostly pasture/hay ground with scattered timber. We are completely surrounded by the Custer National Forest, which offers rolling grasslands and Ponderosa Pine ridges. We see elk, whitetail, mule deer, and turkeys most consistently in this area, with some antelope.

Bull Ranch has been in my family since my great-grandfather settled this ground in 1892, and my son will be the fifth generation to work it. Our ground is nestled below the ponderosa-covered hills of the forest. We utilize the abundant grass species to raise beef cattle (and a spattering of miniature donkeys). The cattle spend wintertime on the ranch and summertime roaming national forest land.  

Hunt District 704 is a draw tag for bull elk and a general tag for cow elk during shoulder season. Whitetail and mule deer bucks are both general units.

We are located south of Ashland about 40–50 minutes from both Lame Deer and Broadus.

Bull Ranch Land & Cattle is a fifth-generation cattle operation just outside Ashland, deep in southeastern Montana's Custer National Forest country. We have two additional parcels available through LandTrust, giving guests access to the full range of terrain our operation has to offer.
