Chapman Ranch
Chapman Ranch is a 3rd-Generation, working sheep ranch in Perkins County, South Dakota. With 1,600 acres of native grassland and pasture, hayfields, and a creek, the property is well-suited for pheasant and grouse hunting, not to mention an additional 1,000+ acres of neighboring public access through SD's Walk-In Program (access to this additional acreage is not exclusive). Sportsman would have the ablity to walk the entire length of the creek on the property that flows into the Thunder Butte Creek.
The ranch features three decently sized dams and three dugouts, which all have great potential for waterfowl hunting this Fall.
Folks looking to camp on the property can do so for $25 per night.

Beau drove me around the ranch for awhile, and I lost track of the pheasant and grouse that I saw! For antelope, I observed lots of fences, which can be a detractor; however, Beau tells me he has a herd that hangs out come season. He told me that deer typically start strolling through the ranch around the second week of season.
