We are located in Columbia County, in which the National Wild Turkey Federation and the FWC recognize, in their respective turkey registry programs, any wild turkey harvested to be an Eastern subspecies.
Birds will use our plot as a source of cover, moving out of the property in the morning to feed in neighboring fields, and then returning towards the end of the day.
About 99% of the property is thick tree cover; however, there is a timber cut/path that goes through the property. Turkey hunters might find some action and success setting up along this corridor as the birds move through the property.
Hunters are welcome to bring a popup blind, and they'll probably have more success sitting and calling, as opposed to stalking through the woods.
