We are located in Custer County, about 30 minutes north of Gothenburg and I-80.
Birds use the mix of open pasture and scattered tree strips for feeding and roosting. Morning hunts on the crop edges or near the ponds, livestock tanks, or hayfields can lead to some really neat experiences with Toms gobbling back and forth at you. We see a lot of action around our game cameras.
Tent camping is allowed on-site, and while there are no hookups for RVs, hunters are welcome to bring a generator.
Just north of Gothenburg in Custer County, Cool Ranch offers 3,000 acres of working Nebraska ranchland with excellent habitat and opportunity for a variety of hunts.
