C.V. Pilson Farm
We are proud to be a 5th-generation family farming operation about 30 miles outside of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Here at the farm Sweet potatoes are our specialty! We grow, harvest, clean, sort, and pack thousands of pounds every season. In addition to sweet potatoes, we grow a wide range of produce including strawberries, melons, peppers, tomatoes, squash, and more!
As the margins for farming continue to slim each year, we have to look for ways to become more sustainable. We are excited to partner with LandTrust to host hunters for turkey and deer hunting. This is another way to allow us a better opportunity to continue the family heritage and farming tradition for this generation and the next.
We have whitetail and turkey hunting opportunities available with the potential for farm tours in the future as well.
Deer LOVE sweet potatoes here. We've been growing sweet potatoes on and around these fields for 50 plus years. There's some big fellas walking these woods. Also plenty to get you some meat too! Lots of turkey as well. In the winter months and early spring it's easy to go around and see plenty turkey walking the fields. Because of our produce that we grow the dove love it. Mainly because of how we prep for the fall crops. It's good hunting around here. The wildlife are plentiful from all the crops that we have growing all year.
There is currently no on-property lodging or camping available. For a comfortable stay and needed amenities, Southern Pines is only 16 miles southwest and Fayetteville is only 29 miles southeast.
We love farming and look forward to sharing a little bit of our farm with you!

I love my family and I love to farm! I'm 32 years old and just looking to keep the farm around for years to come. Been growing produce around here for a long time and my father has before me. Always see plenty of good wildlife around the farm.
