Descheemaeker Ranch
The Descheemaeker Ranch consists of 3,400 acres and is proudly located in Central Montana. With the Judith Mountains in the backdrop and stunning scenery featuring large plateaus and dramatic dropoffs into woodlands, the property is an amazing destination for outdoorsmen. The wide open spaces are great for walks, star gazing, shed hunting, and decompressing the soul.
Guests are invited to lodge in our dry cabin that can comfortably sleep two. Guests are also welcome to camp on the property. The property is also only a 13-minute drive to Grass Range and a 20-minute drive to Lewistown, both of which have local restaurants, lodging, and grocery stores.
Several water sources on the property, along with a mix of timber, ag plots, and grazing fields, provide excellent habitat for antelope and deer. There is a healthy pheasant population in this area as well.

The hunting was good, plenty of Mule Deer. We cut some elk tracks near the cabin but never found them. Mary and Paul are awesome and very accommodating. The cabin is small but just right for a dad with two teenagers.

Great people, beautiful ranch! Everything was like they described and saw game every day. Hopefully can bring my boys back one day!

Mary and Paul were extremely accommodating! While we didn’t get an antelope, there were plenty to choose from. It was the perfect place to unplug and spend some time away from all of the busy!
Reviewed by Guest on August 2022 Mary and Paul were great hosts! I took my son on our first antelope and the ranch did not disappoint; multiple stalks on different bucks every day! A lot of open area, timber, and water sources. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone...we will be back!

My husband Paul and I were raised on cattle ranches in Montana. Paul was raised in Sheridan, Montana on the westend of the State and I grew up in the central part of the State in Moore. Both our families have been in the farming and ranching business for over 100 years. We both attended small schools; were active in 4-H; attended and graduated from Montana colleges and have worked all aspects of the cattle ranching business. Paul is partnered in the ranch with his son Kahle and nine months out of the year I teach high school social studies in Billings.
My husband Paul has hunted his whole life in Montana. He has hunted mule deer, white tail, elk, and upland birds. Paul has also fished in Montana from small streams to the Missouri river for trout to paddle fish.
We would love for you to experience our world of being stewards of this fabulous piece of land that is in our care. Hopefully, you will come away with new appreciation for the agriculture and the great outdoors with one visit.
